2015 Travel Diary Day Chapter

A year has passed. Initially, I planned to go to 1 country per month in 2015. Unfortunately, it didn't come true due to some work issue. It's not feasible for employees to travel often. They must apply for leaves before planning a trip. It's a sad story that you need to plan your life with others' permission. If you think travel around the world is a dream, then it is a dream forever.



Brunei


This is the first country that I've visited in 2015. Some Singaporean friends told me that is more boring than Singapore why go there before I set off. While, if one never brings heart to see the world, everywhere is boring.

My best model ever - in memory of my Emma

We went to Chinese garden for a picnic on Jan 2010. That's was our first time picnic and also last. I didn't have DSLR at the time so the photo effect was not so good. I only recorded the real life and the natural smile for Emma. And until now my PS skill improved a little bit so that I dare to bring out some of the photos, otherwise I will feel sorry to such a great model.



Frankly speaking, Chinese garden is not a place of great interest in Singapore. Tourist agents may not normally bring tourists to visit this park. It's mainly for resident to do some exercises and parents to play with kids.



Emma is a great model. She could act naturally and sweetly. I didn't guide her as I was not pro at the time. Yet we got quite a number of unexpected great shots. And she said this is because the photographer understands her. So sweet.



I miss Emma, my best model and friend ever. How I wish you could sit by my side still.

Mission & Vision & First Action

Welcome to Longer★Vogue. This Boutique aims to bring nature and style to every unique lady. Long Er believes that there is no not-good-looking lady, but lazy one. It is better to dress in appropriate apparel rather than do heavy face-painting work everyday. Longer★Vogue's mission is to build natural angel. Special brand for special you. Unique angel, stand out.

It's always not bad to have a mission or vision for a business. Simply set a goal and work on it. Why not.

Here I'd like to remark the very first photo shooting action which was held in 2008. That was the beginning of this fashion online business. Therefore, it was also precious memory. Here comes our fashion and pretty young ladies.

They were not models but my classmates. Some of them were quite famous in a student forum. As there were not a lot of sellers in U at that time, they were a bit curious when I started this fashion blogshop. I must thank little Mi for her great support. If it weren't for her, this photo shooting action might not be so fruitful.

They could act cute, pretend to be sexy, be cool, yet be professional as well. Many people say school times friendship are pure. They just came to help and play without asking any return. I asked Mi if it's convenient if I treat them dinner. She laughed, you spent before you earned.

It was like an activity among friends rather than business action. The photographer was a junior who was a keen amateur photographer. He was looking for models to practice while I was looking for photographer for my models. Then we quickly made it a deal. I was impressed when he brought tripod, Lambency umbrella and reflector along.

Actually, this shooting event was not well organized. We didn't have action director or makeup artist. Models just choose whatever they like to wear and post in front of the camera. Fortunately, they found own style and position gradually. Then they started to act naturally and creatively. I like these smiles and photos. They are young and original. They are natural beauties.

Jin must have some talent to be an actress. If I keep editing her photos, some of them may probably become posters. If fashion consultant didn't assign certain dresses to the models, models will pick up dress style according to their favorites and characteristic. This human nature is interesting.

In the end, they just did free style as happy ending. It was quite fun to hold such informal event as friends gathering. By reviewing these photos, I start to miss the school time and old friends. The story may continue without any actor or actress. It became a part of history in our life or with LongerVogue. I'm not a good coordinator, yet I could be a photographer or writer to record this meaningful moment. Perhaps many years later when they see these photos, they would start to cherish the memory of those days in U as well. Once again, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all the models and helpers behind the scenes.



Memory is like the water in hand, no matter gripping or carrying, it will trickle through fingers eventually.
